Love the website. I proudly served on the Gold Crew from Feb 1986-1990 as a Missile Tech 2nd class (SS).

Naval history fascinates me. I have a family member who served on this sub. It is as intriguing as it is frustrating finding any sort of information about it or its service to our country. Wholeheartedly enjoy the page though and appreciate everyones service and devotion to pave the way for my generations freedom.

I remember you from then. I was a nuc machinist mate on the gold crew from 74 to 77. Went on to NPTU Idaho, S5G.

I can still remember the blue-nose initiation and baseball game with EB in the field while it was raining.

I spent 7 years in the NAVY on SSBN 619 and 634 I was a IC 2 (SS) when I got out . I flew from Groton the to holyloch Scotland for 3 years and also bussed to Kings bay for 2 years and 1 year frezzing my but off in Bangor Washing for 6 months I kick my self in my ass for not staying in . My fist shore duty was coming up when I was getting out . I was to go to where I grew up in Louisville KY working in a torpedo maker place . But no some head hunter got me a job in NY working on high power lines and UPS systems . But 10 years later I was hit by lighting while working on a diesel system out side .
Ruined my spine so my legs no longer work , I always wander if I had stayed in if I would have never got hurt. Sail on BUBBLE HEAD !!!

Tom Clingan]Tom, email me at [email protected] and I'll get you caught up from my end.

Mike, Marcia I & kids (Nate and Meredith) and one grandson Caden doing great. Hope things are well with you. I just recently re-connected with Duane Ettwein (and Debbie), Linda Lacko and one other shipmate John Howard from the trainer and Tim Lynch from Damneck A School Tim I & 3 others lived in an apartment on the Beach.
see a post on here from Jimmy Meadows son... I'm not seeing too many shipmates I remember - a Sea story by Porter LR and a couple of pics of your old self! How you doing? I sure you are doing better staying connected than I - who from the "old Nav "gang" can you still get in touch with... Larry Kerns retired from Rockwell several years back and moved far North in TX- I haven't talked with him in years (my bad!)
