Mike Dispinette and Norm Burrington. Mike was a Nav. ET and an unbelieveable positive attitude. I have seen him in the background of another picture in this site.

Mike was my best man. He lives in Henderson, NC Still crazy as ever. I had the pleasure of working with Mike completing a massive upgrade of Cisco routers about 2006. Havent heard from him in a long while.

In the fall of 1974 we flew to Scotland for a patrol. When we left I left my purple convertable to be stored, washed, and filled with gas (which was $.29/gallon).
When I came back to the states, on New Years Eve, my unwashed car was empty, gas was around $2.00/gallon, and being rationed. I had to find someone that owned a gas station and plead my case to get 3/4 of a tank of gas so I could go from Groton, CT. to Barre, VT. for a New Years Eve party.
I didn't use the heater all the way to Barre because I wasn't sure if it used gas or not. Eventually Mike bought that car and apparently kept it for a long while.
I never understood why they didn't wash it?
